Miranda Lam wants to change a house at 41 Sixth Street in Tang Hall. The house is currently a dwelling, and she wants to make it a small HMO in the Heworth ward. Her company is York City Properties 2 Ltd.

The plan includes a statement that they won’t change the outside or build any additions. The ground floor and the first floor will change a little to create one more bedroom in the old dining room.

The HMO will only have four people, each with their own single bedroom. The plan states it won’t make more noise, and neighbors should not see more disturbance or have the plan impact their homes.

The front garden stays the same, and they won’t pave it for parking, ensuring the street still looks nice. The plans also include secure bike storage.

The consultation ends on February 25. You can see the plan online using the reference number 25/00194/FUL. The website is york.gov.uk/SearchPlanningApplications.
