A 41-year-old man was jailed for five years after pleading guilty to firearm possession in High Wycombe.

These incidents happened last year in late May and early June. Specifically, they occurred between May 25 and June 5. Because of this, police searched a property located on John North Close. During that search, officers found a gun. The search took place on July 4.
Simmons faced charges. He pleaded guilty on February 18 at Aylesbury Crown Court. He admitted to possessing a firearm. Simmons is 41 years old and recently didn’t have a fixed address.
The court sentenced him to five years in jail at the same court. Three other charges are on file. These involve possessing a firearm with the intent to cause fear of violence.
Detective Constable Oliver Powell, part of the Aylesbury CID, investigated. He said they are pleased with Simmons’ sentence. Powell stated the police take firearms offenses seriously and thoroughly investigate every report.
