Last year, police arrested Nathaniel Simmons. He had been intimidating people. He used what seemed like a firearm.

These incidents happened last year in late May and early June. Specifically, they occurred between May 25 and June 5. Because of this, police searched a property located on John North Close. During that search, officers found a gun. The search took place on July 4.

Simmons faced charges. He pleaded guilty on February 18 at Aylesbury Crown Court. He admitted to possessing a firearm. Simmons is 41 years old and recently didn’t have a fixed address.

The court sentenced him to five years in jail at the same court. Three other charges are on file. These involve possessing a firearm with the intent to cause fear of violence.

Detective Constable Oliver Powell, part of the Aylesbury CID, investigated. He said they are pleased with Simmons’ sentence. Powell stated the police take firearms offenses seriously and thoroughly investigate every report.

The police work with partners to remove weapons from the streets. They bring offenders to justice. If you have information on weapons, please report it. Call 101 to report, or remain anonymous by calling Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
