High Wycombe Welcomes New McDonald’s: Residents Share Mixed Reactions

Hey, guess what? A new McDonald’s opened! It’s in Ryemead Retail Park, and the opening day was February 19th. Lots of folks went there.

This new place sits on the east side of town. Plans were confirmed months ago. Now, High Wycombe has another one. Other spots exist on High Street. You can find them at Dovecot, Crest Road, and Asda Cressex.

People have mixed feelings about this. Some folks aren’t too thrilled. One person said the food isn’t great. Another said it won’t save the town. Someone else thinks there are too many already.

But, some people are happy about it! It’s the first one on the east side. This location saves residents time, so they don’t need to go downtown. It replaced Pizza Hut, which closed last year.

One person said it’s happening anyway. Another likes the convenience. It’s handy for those on that side of town. It provides jobs and cheap eats, too. Some mention town center improvements.

Someone enjoys their coffee and fries. They are glad about new jobs. They also think fast food is okay in moderation.

The new McDonald’s usually opens early. Most days, it’s 7 AM to midnight. On Sundays, it opens later, at 8 AM, and closes earlier, at 11 PM.
