Five Highland groups form Haven Consortium. Improve disability services for young people and families across the Highlands.

Five groups created the Haven Consortium. They want to help young people with disabilities. Families across the Highlands will also benefit.
The Elsie Normington Foundation is part of this. SNAP joins them, plus Thriving Families. Connecting Carers and Encompass Caithness also participate. They believe their effort will improve support. Sharing resources will be important.
They also plan to share strategies. Expertise sharing will help families. The consortium strives for positive change.
Elsie Normington spoke about the foundation. She noticed the charities’ great work. She desired a bigger impact. The charities want to attract funding.
They aim to change service provision. They focus on solutions, not problems. Better outcomes are their goal.
The consortium says services will be more accessible. They state services will respond better. Families will get streamlined services. They will have a support network. Gaps in current help will be addressed.
The official launch event is on Monday. It takes place at the Haven Centre Café. The location is in Inverness.
