Council submits plans for seventeen houses in Dores village, Loch Ness-side. Homes include flats and houses with local design elements.

The plans show a mix of seventeen homes, including semi-detached, detached, and cottage flats. The houses will sit east of Drumashie Lodge and south of Dores Parish Church. Land near the church is for future graveyard use.
The estate includes one- and two-bedroom flats. It also features two- and three-bedroom houses. One accessible two-bedroom house is planned. Buildings will be one to two stories tall.
The design agents described the site as a sloping field with views of Loch Ness and nearby hills. The entrance will share a road with the cemetery. A stream and powerline cross the site, and water mains also run nearby.
The houses will look similar to Drumashie Lodge and existing village homes. Walls will mostly be white, though one house will use brick for its eastern wall. This brick matches the stone color of the steading.
Roofs will have grey or red tiles, echoing design elements from the lodge. Workers will plant many trees and build a small pond for drainage. “Nature paths” will link homes to the village.
