The Highlands & Islands Thistle Awards (HITA) raised £6000 for CHAS. The funds will assist families facing tragic loss.

CHAS helps families facing this difficult time. They give care to children and support loved ones. This help happens at every stage.
CHAS was the charity partner for HITA in 2024, and the event raised over £6000 for CHAS’s cause. Raffles and donations helped them reach this goal.
Loganair suggested CHAS as the charity. The airline sponsored two categories at the awards, and they praised CHAS’s years of support for families.
CHAS helped many in the Highlands and Islands. They supported 51 children and 256 family members. This included medical and emotional support.
The CHAS at Home team visited many homes too. They made 606 visits to give care, offering palliative, end-of-life, and respite care.
CHAS has two hospices, Rachel House and Robin House. They have teams giving care in homes, and nurses and doctors work with the NHS.
CHAS is there at every step, helping during life, death, and bereavement. The number of children needing help is rising.
They expand teams in the Highlands and Islands, with nurses in Inverness. Teams also work in children’s hospitals in Scotland.
The CHAS at Home team flies nurses to the islands to give expert care at home. They are grateful for support from people.
HITA’s Calum Ross feels proud that they chose an organization supporting families. These families face a difficult journey.
Knowing a child is dying is hard to imagine, but CHAS supports children and their families daily, which makes life full.
HITA raised funds for CHAS’s care, helping families facing tough times. HITA also spreads awareness of CHAS’s service.
The HITAs event will be on October 3rd at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness. HITA celebrates excellence in tourism, covering regions in the Highlands and Islands, including Argyll, Moray, Orkney, and Shetland. HITA winners could go to a national final.
