Phase five of regenerating Hillington Square is nearly done, adding twenty six new homes and starting phase six.

Last year, they approved the final part. The West Norfolk Council gave it the green light. New apartments will open before phase six starts. The plan is to build sixty-five affordable homes, which also includes new shops. They will replace the old community center.
The community center and empty flats are now fenced. Freebridge says it is part of phase six, and they want to keep the area secure. They need to disconnect services. This makes it safe for planning work.
The old community center has been closed for a while. Workers remove asbestos from each apartment, prepping the site for future work. Phase five is almost done too.
Phase five is at Farrow Court. It will offer twenty-six new homes. Freebridge said this is great news because Hillington Square was built in the late 1960s, including flats, a center, and bin storage. People wanted to live there at first.
Over time, the buildings looked worse. Crime went up, and it really needed fixing up. Freebridge started planning the fix in 2010.
The fenced area is near All Saints’ Church. It is an old building in Lynn. Improving the flats should make it nicer to visit. Freebridge is building in other towns too, like Hilgay, and Downham Market. They are building over one hundred homes.
