A metal detectorist returned an old “T Taylor & Co” beer bottle, dating from 1860-1920, to Timothy Taylor’s brewery.

He met Tim Dewey, Timothy Taylor’s CEO, at a butcher shop. Reynard showed Dewey a picture of the bottle, and Dewey asked Reynard to email him the pictures. They met at the brewery later, located at Knowle Spring.
Dewey gave Reynard’s dad a Timothy Taylor’s jacket in exchange for the old bottle find. Reynard was happy the company now had a piece of its history.
Reynard said the early history was limited, noting that T Taylor & Co. existed before 1929, when the company became Timothy Taylor & Co Ltd. Records did show this original name.
T Taylor & Co started the brewery, which Timothy Taylor founded in 1858. It was first located in Cooke Lane, Keighley.
In 2023, Reynard helped find gold coins worth £100,000, dating back to the 1500s, in a Northern Ireland field. A farmer asked Reynard and Michael Gwynne for help after losing his wedding ring while working. They used metal detectors to search.
