Carly Clark, 28, from Holbeach, received six points and a fine for allowing her banned ex-partner to drive her car.

The court was in Lynn, specifically Lynn Magistrates’ Court. The event happened on Thursday, and Clark admitted her crime there. Her ex was not allowed to drive.
Police stopped Clark’s Ford Ranger on A17 Pullover Road in King’s Lynn. The car showed as uninsured. The car belonged to Clark. Her ex was banned in February 2023, and the insurance did not cover him because of this.
Clark’s lawyer, George Sorrell, spoke for her. He told the court about her kids, who were in the back of the car and going to the dentist.
Clark began driving but felt sick. The babies screamed in the back, so her ex drove to McDonald’s. This allowed her to sit back there and help the kids. She has a four-year-old, a two-year-old, and an eight-month-old.
Sorrell said she needs the car for nursery, shopping, and travel. He added that she is a good person and has never been in trouble before.
The court gave Clark six points on her license and a fine of £120. Clark must also pay extra fees, including a £48 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.
