Plans approved for 110 new homes in Hollins Green, featuring green spaces, play areas, and affordable housing options.

This follows earlier planning permission approval. The site used to be green belt land, but the Local Plan changed that designation. This new application covered key details, including layout, appearance, landscaping, and scale. Prospect Homes bought the site in April 2024.
The approved plan includes open green space and a play area for kids. There are 77 for-sale modern houses, alongside thirty-three affordable homes.
The new plan seeks to improve habitat, and the project will retain existing hedges. They will also relocate some hedges on the land. Two, three, and four-bedroom homes will be available.
Affordable homes comprise 30 percent of the total. Rent, shared ownership, and First Homes schemes will be options. The project gives over £900,000 to community funds, which will improve local amenities.
The money will support health and sports, and education facilities will also get funding. Green belt issues also will be addressed. Prospect Homes belongs to the Riverside Group.
The council notified neighbors, sending out seventy letters about the proposal. Twelve residents initially objected to the plans, and after plan changes, one more objection arrived.
Residents worry about the village amenities, and they think country roads are not suitable. Ecological damage is also a concern, with residents referencing wildlife and plants.
The report stated housing is acceptable there, as this area is designated for housing. It is a housing release in Warrington, and it also meets local housing guidelines.
The layout works well for families, and it does not badly affect nearby homes. The plan offers market and affordable housing, using varied housing types to fulfill various community housing needs.
