The Home Office says people get tricked. They believe stories about working in the UK. This makes them risk crossing the Channel. They use small boats to cross it.
Illegal work leads to bad conditions. People get little pay or none at all. They work inhumane hours, which is cruel.
The government has a “Plan for Change”. They want to fix the UK immigration system. Stricter enforcement action began. It will help tackle irregular migration.
Yvette Cooper spoke about immigration. She said rules must be followed. Employers exploit illegal migrants, she thinks. People arrive and work illegally, she added. No action was taken until now.

Six Indian delivery drivers got arrested. They were working there illegally, it seems. The employer got a penalty notice served. They must pay a fine now.
Two of those workers have been detained. Officials will remove them from the UK. They will go back to their country.
