Leisure Centre hosts Hyrox simulation, dance event and other fundraising activities for their anniversary celebration.
It’s like a mini Hyrox race. Hyrox combines running and workouts. It’s running five miles mixed with workout stations. You run, then do exercises, back and forth.
The center shared some details about it. You run 500 meters between each zone. The distances are half of what they usually are, but weight amounts stay the same mostly. Sled weights will be a medium weight for everyone. You’ll test strength, endurance, and how well you move!
All fitness levels are very welcome to participate. Now is your chance to try it out and have fun. There will be other things during the simulation event, like cake, a raffle, and tours of the center. They will offer membership deals as well.
Cool down in the pool if you like; it’s half price for Hyrox racers. Bring your family for some pool fun. That will be from 12:30 PM to 3 PM.
On Sunday, March 2, they have a dance event. It connects to the “Let’s Dance” launch. This initiative is supported by Angela Rippon. She wants to show dance’s benefits to health.
Both physical and mental health are improved. Dance can bring people together. The center hosts Dance Fusion and taster programs. Street, Zumba, and Acro Dance might interest you. Sessions are from 2 PM to 3 PM and 3 PM to 4 PM for all ages and skills! The classes are free, and they appreciate donations towards the center’s campaign.
