Nico Logan orchestrated a cocaine import operation from his HMP Manchester cell, now faces 15 more years.

Logan made phone calls from HMP Manchester to someone on the outside. Police traced his calls after the arrest, and border guards found cocaine at Birmingham Airport. The package was going to a home in Wythenshawe.
Logan was found guilty of conspiracy and received an additional 15 years in prison. He already had a 16-year sentence for drugs, having been jailed in 2021 for guns and drugs offenses.
The parcel, which came from the Netherlands and was going to a house in Wythenshawe, was searched by border guards at the airport. Inside, they discovered cocaine worth £1.2 million.
Detectives placed Michael Garside under surveillance as he picked up the parcel in Wythenshawe. Garside then called Logan in prison, leading police to believe he updated Logan about the delivery. Garside placed the parcel in his car and drove to Cedars Road.
Police arrested Garside and found the drugs, but released him during phone record analysis. The phone records linked Garside to Logan, revealing that he worked for him. Police arrested Logan in March 2024. Garside admitted to conspiracy and was sentenced to nine years and seven months. Logan has since been moved to HMP Northumberland.
