An inquest will investigate the death of Richard Parram, 82, found with stab wounds in Leytonstone. Cause of death is undetermined.

Police discovered Richard collapsed there. He was wearing a suit at the time. Paramedics tried to help him, but it was too late. He died at the scene.
Initially, police thought his injuries were self-inflicted. However, a pathologist wasn’t so sure. They couldn’t confirm the stabs caused his death. So, they ordered a full investigation.
A pre-inquest hearing occurred on February 5th. Graeme Irvine, the coroner, spoke about the case. He mentioned the post-mortem findings were unclear. They couldn’t pinpoint the exact cause of death.
The pathologist found injuries likely contributed to death. Richard was found lying down in a foetal position; A passer-by saw him; he was well-dressed. The family has the right to question witnesses.
Richard’s family can also review evidence. The inquest is scheduled for July. They asked the family to write a statement. This should include his health details and any worries. The coroner also wants his medical records. They need details of any mental health treatment.
