Siderise seeks to overturn a Kensington and Chelsea council ban imposed after the Grenfell Inquiry’s final report.

Siderise Insulation, which provided parts for Grenfell Tower’s 2015 update, was banned from working in Kensington and Chelsea last year. The council also banned other companies, including Celotex, Kingspan, Arconic, and CEP, following the Grenfell Inquiry’s final report in September 2024.
Siderise stated the ban has no basis, asserting they don’t meet the council’s reasons for excluding companies, according to official reports. They emphasize that the Grenfell Inquiry reports indicated Siderise did not cause the fire and were honest during the inquiry.
Siderise said the legal challenge will defend their reputation as a British manufacturer selling products worldwide. The Grenfell Inquiry found “no dishonesty” with Siderise, which supplied barriers for larger gaps.
The council banned firms that were incompetent or misled people through product marketing or by failing to follow rules. Kensington and Chelsea council said they support its decision.
