Ipswich carolers helped cancer support. They collected £4,000 by spreading cheer. Three bands played over 40 carol sets in December.

These bands were Ipswich Hospital Band, St Peter’s Band, and Saints Community Band. They sang in busy spots and performed outside stores and the high street.

They even sang at Ipswich Hospital on Christmas day. The money went to two groups supporting Cancer Support Suffolk and Ipswich Hospital Band Ltd.

The bands gave Cancer Support Suffolk their check on February 10. The bands thanked everyone for donating and businesses for hosting them.

Maggie Porter thanked the people of Ipswich, stating their kindness was very important. She said every gift makes a difference and that she was proud of their work.

Cancer Support Suffolk teaches about cancer and helps patients during and after treatment. The money will help them grow these services.

Mark Murphy thanked the bands for their support, noting they played in all kinds of weather. He said the money will help local cancer patients and assist their families.
