Ipswich Central teams up with Brighten the Corners Festival to boost tourism and support local businesses with music events.

BTC plans two main events this year: the summer music festival in June and a new free music event in October. The October event will occur at various spots downtown.
Lee Walker, who leads Ipswich Central, discussed Ipswich’s lively culture. He said they have a great chance to improve the festival and will use the All About Ipswich website along with social media. The goal is attracting people to enjoy music and shops.
The group will boost marketing efforts, using All About Ipswich’s social media. Local businesses will get involved, marketing the music events together. Town center shops will get some help too, with deals and hotel packages expected for visitors.
The festival will add wellness activities, and member firms get exclusive ticket deals. Joe Bailey, who leads Brighten the Corners, said the partnership helps the June festival. They also add something new this autumn.
They want to reach more people, and All About Ipswich will help them. A free event hits downtown in October, showcasing music and art to help the local economy grow. They are working with Ipswich Central, and other groups are also involved, all wanting a successful event. The groups will check their progress often, which will help the festival and event.
