Ipswich Borough Council approves £39,800 in grants for five charities over two years, aiding families and women.

Bryony Rudkin shared the plan on Tuesday. She works for the Ipswich Borough Council. They’re giving £39,800 to five charities, spread over two years.
The money comes from a bigger fund for community grants, totaling £259,200. They already gave £219,400 to others. The council wants to help the community, and members all agreed on the grants. It’s great news for these charities.
ICENI Ipswich will get the most, receiving £12,500 from this funding. They help families facing tough times, addressing addiction and abuse issues.
Lighthouse Women’s Aid gets £11,800. They support people impacted by domestic abuse, provide safe spaces for kids, and address violence issues.
The charities will start getting the grants in April. This will really help them with their work helping people.
