Two men, Thomas Gillingham and Daryl Jervier, received jail sentences for driving and drug-related offenses.

He bought a car online in January and went to Shropshire to get it, leaving another car there that someone picked up later. On January 10, police saw him driving on Defoe Road in Ipswich and he sped away.
The car crashed into a hedge on Whitton Church Lane, revealing the car was registered to him. Gillingham claimed he was at a pub in Leiston. Officers went to the pub. A man ran from the building.
Police chased and caught Gillingham, taking him to the police station where he was released on bail. He had 28 days to provide driver information but did not comply with the order. Consequently, they extended his driving ban through 2028 and ordered Gillingham to pay £239.
Daryl Jervier, from Enfield, is also in jail. He was sentenced to 21 months after admitting involvement with cannabis. He drove with no license and lacked proper insurance. Police stopped him on the A11 in Suffolk.
Police found his number on two teenagers’ phones. One teen’s phone had messages showing Jervier selling cannabis in Thetford. Police seized a second teen’s phone.
The second teen had drugs and the phone had messages from Jervier. A car search turned up cannabis and £280 in cash. Judge Levett spoke on the case, noting Jervier had past convictions.
These convictions included robbery and drug charges. Jervier used cannabis for sciatica pain, and sold cannabis to others, who had a “cottage industry” selling drugs in the Thetford area.
