David Bleeze denies assault and suffocation after an alleged hot tub incident in July 2023. Trial ongoing at Ipswich Crown Court.

Bleeze, now 58, lives on Bramford Lane, Ipswich. He denies assault and suffocation charges against one woman. Ipswich Crown Court learned details from the party.
The women were in a hot tub with Bleeze’s partner. Inside, Bleeze argued with his partner and one woman feared he would lock them outside. She took the back door key. He allegedly grabbed this woman’s neck during a struggle.
The other woman tried to help her friend. Bleeze then allegedly grabbed her neck too, supposedly holding her head underwater. He stopped when someone forced him off.
Bleeze testified that one woman tried to lock him in. He said she hit him after he pushed the door open. He pushed her away, he claimed and the other woman yelled and swung her arms. She then grabbed his T-shirt.
Bleeze works with autistic people and also helps people with learning issues. He said the woman tripped over a step and fell backwards into the hot tub; he fell on top of her, he said.
He denies neck grabbing or dunking anyone underwater. The trial is still happening now.
