An inquest concluded that Jayaram Ramaswamy, an Ipswich resident, died by suicide after being found in Braziers Wood.

Dr. Jayaram was from India but lived in Ipswich. His family reported him missing last June 30th when he did not come home.
Police searched for Dr. Jayaram for four days near Ravenswood and Orwell Country Park. On July 3rd, searchers found Dr. Jayaram’s car, a grey Citroen C1.
Suffolk Lowland Search and HM Coastguard helped look. That day, someone found a body in Braziers Wood around 9:50 a.m. Police identified the body as Dr. Jayaram.
The court learned on Friday that Dr. Jayaram had pneumonia and it was the main reason he died. The post-mortem found a bad chest infection and a toxic amount of a drug was also in his system.
The drug was in a bottle within a bag by Dr. Jayaram’s side. The bottle contained liquid.
No one knows where Dr. Jayaram went between June 30th and July 3rd. The coroner wasn’t sure when he got pneumonia, nor was he sure when he took the drugs.
Nigel Parsley, the senior coroner, said death might have been intentional, as evidence suggested this to him. Mr. Parsley decided Dr. Jayaram committed suicide, that was his final conclusion.
