Monopoly turns 90! Ipswich gets a unique edition. Ipswich beat Norwich and other towns. They won the chance to have their own game.

A celebration is happening at the Cornhill at 10am. There will be giant Monopoly stuff. Ben Ladd Gibbon and Mayor Elavalakan will be there. Even Mr. Monopoly will show up.

Ipswich won because of its civic pride. Ipswich also has a strong sense of family. Ladd Gibbon thinks Ipswich is a great choice. He expects many good spots for the board.

The game will show Ipswich’s history. It will include the waterfront and Tudor times too. This version is new for everyone. People can suggest landmarks for the board.

The waterfront and Portman Road are possibilities. The Cornhill and Ancient House could also appear. Charities will star on the Community Chest spaces.

This happens in the 2025 edition. Ipswich Town could be on the blue squares now. They were on the pink squares before. Ipswich had a Monopoly game way back in 2006. It is no longer sold.

You can suggest locations until March 12th at 11:59pm.
