The Isle of Man went to a sheep dog sale. It happened at Skipton Auction Mart. Richard Crowe, a local farmer, did great. He sold one dog for his highest price ever.

Richard is known for sheepdog trials on the island. His dog, Tanhill Jess, got a high price. She sold for 5400 guineas, about £5670. Jess is eighteen months old and tri-colored. She was bought by someone from East Yorkshire.

Richard also sold two other trained dogs. One was Bruno, a black, white, and brown dog. He is sixteen months old and sold for £2520. The other was Joe, a red and white dog. Joe sold for about £2730. Richard made over £10,500 total that day.

Richard’s family loves sheep dog trials. They host the Mannanan Sheep Dog Trials at their farm in Kirk Michael. It has raised over £2000 for charity. Richard’s son, Freddie, also shows promise.

Matt Tomlinson from Derbyshire sold a dog. Daniel Moore from the Isle of Man bought it. The dog, Parkhills Nip, cost about £735. He was the priciest unbroken dog there.

The Skipton sale was on February 28th. Many dogs got sold. Kevin Evans from Wales sold Fly for the top price. That black and white dog went to Norway. It sold for about £7560.

Another dog, Tiktok, sold for about £4830. Brian Casey from Ireland bought him. A dog named Mic sold for about £4200. Someone from Wales bought Mic.

Skipton sales matter to sheep dog people. People buy dogs in person and online there. Handlers like Richard Crowe help the Isle of Man build the island’s sheep dog name.
