Kamran Hanif was sentenced for a road rage incident where he punched a stranger, causing serious injuries.

Hanif followed a man driving slowly as the man looked for a friend. Hanif confronted him. He drove a van with scrap and yelled, “I’ll show you how to drive!” Hanif then pushed the man.
The other driver told Hanif to calm down, explaining he did not want a fight. Hanif kept shouting and swearing at him. He even threatened to “break his face.”
Another car arrived on the scene, and the driver tried to explain things. Hanif punched his face. The man fell back against his car, and Hanif then drove away in his van.
The victim was hurt and bleeding. He called 999 for help, but they said it would take over an hour. He flagged down a police car instead and drove himself to the hospital.
Doctors found two jaw fractures that required surgery. They put in a metal plate. Police found Hanif through his van, and the victim identified him. Hanif gave no comment to police questions, as he was already in prison for drug crimes.
Hanif had many prior convictions, including violence. The victim said the surgery caused issues, and he couldn’t talk, sleep, or eat well. He could not work after the attack.
Hanif’s lawyer called it a quick incident, stating they didn’t know each other. It was road rage, she said, and he regrets his actions. The judge gave Hanif 12 months. This new sentence runs at the same time as his prior sentence, which ends in 2026.He cannot contact the victim for five years.
