A Keighley teen secures a full time job at Acorn Stairlifts after completing apprenticeship program.

Now, Subhan has a full-time job at the same Steeton company; he is only nineteen. He has a great future ahead. Subhan is very happy about it.
Subhan believes his effort paid off. He wants to become a service engineer, helping customers by phone to schedule stairlift services and troubleshoot problems.
Sarah Barwell, his college tutor, helped Subhan with coursework. Team leaders supported him too, providing extra help when needed. He recommends apprenticeships to others.
Bethany Berry, Subhan’s team leader, says college apprentices are hard-working and Subhan especially stood out. He showed willingness to learn and embraced all training. He wanted to know more about Acorn and stairlifts.
Subhan wants to become a service engineer, and Acorn will help him achieve it. Currently, he fixes faults, building his product knowledge.
Keighley College works with Acorn Stairlifts, providing apprentices and interns regularly. Clare Fitzgerald, who works at the college in stakeholder engagement, also spoke about the great news.
Clare said they are happy for Subhan because this job could start a good career. The college partners with firms like Acorn to secure good placements. Apprenticeships let people earn and learn, offering a quick way to a career.
