Kenneth Hinds of Malton Convicted on Multiple Sex Offence Charges

Kenneth Hinds, aged 75, lived on Ashfield Avenue in Malton. He faced nine charges involving assaulting a girl under 16. A trial lasted three days, and the court found him guilty on all counts.

He was taken into custody immediately. Hinds will appear at Hull Crown Court; his sentencing is scheduled for March 21.

Detective Constable Stephen Bromby, who works with the Vulnerable People Unit, spoke about the case. He knows the impact of this crime still affects the two women today, who boldly reported past sexual abuse committed when they were very young children.

Bromby thanked the women for stepping forward and helping build the case against Hinds. It was a long and hard investigation, and their courage ensured he faces the consequences and will be held responsible for committing despicable acts.
