Two Sevenoaks garden centers, Coolings and Polhill, received national awards for their Christmas teams.

Polhill in Sevenoaks also won a Silver award. They won for their BBQ team. The awards honor top Christmas teams of 2024. They judged teams in twenty categories. These included food and animal care.
Polhill is near the M25. It is known as Kent’s largest garden center. They sell many items there. Look for plants, homeware and pet supplies. A restaurant is also on site.
Jim and David Novell started Polhill. They are father and son. Polhill began in the 1960s. A wooden windmill remains from the opening.
Coolings often hosts events. Their annual Coolings in Bloom is popular. You can eat at their restaurant. They serve meals and afternoon tea. Kids can feed the fish.
It costs £1 to do so. Coolings is a short drive from Polhill. Coolings started in Chislehurst in 1913. They opened their first garden center in the 1950s.
Coolings holds antique and craft markets. They also hold Coolings in Bloom. Gardeners compete to win. There are eight categories.
