A woman died after a shooting at The Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt; suspect may have entered the Thames.

Police said a woman died in the pub’s car park. She was in her forties. The suspect knew the woman, police think. He left the scene afterward.
They found a car and a gun. These were located at the Queen Elizabeth II bridge. This bridge goes over the Thames. Cops then got reports about a man nearby. He was on the wrong side of the barrier.
They think he might have gone into the river. Michelle heard two loud bangs. This happened while prepping for Valentine’s dinner. At first, she guessed they were just fireworks. The incident occurred just after 7 PM.
Around thirty people were dining at the time. Also, twenty more people were in the bar. She said people were only just sitting down. An off-duty firearms officer helped control things.
The woman had visited before, she said. But she “wasn’t a regular” customer there. Neither the suspect nor victim were from Kent. Yet, both had connections locally.
Detective Chief Inspector David Higham spoke. They got reports of a man near the barrier. Higham can’t rule out he entered the water. They are only searching for one suspect.
Police do not think the public faces further risk. Specialist officers help the families involved. They are giving support after this sad event.
