Someone was murdered. Police arrested two people, and are still investigating the case. The police called it a terrible crime, stating it is a very complex investigation.

A specialist unit now leads the investigation. Mr. Scott last went to a Nairobi hotel conference on February 16th. His body was found in a pineapple sack in a forest southeast of Nairobi, with his hands tied.

A police spokesperson spoke to the PA news agency, saying it was very tragic. They added that authorities will find out what happened, and believe someone will be held responsible.

The homicide unit handles very serious crimes, and is part of Kenya’s criminal investigations unit. Thomas Maitha spoke to a Kenyan newspaper, stating that Mr. Scott appeared tortured.

Maitha said the body was in bad shape, which is why they escalated the situation. The killer tied Mr. Scott’s hands behind his back, then put the body in the sack with pineapples.

Mr. Campbell worked for Fico as a senior director. His home may have been in Scotland. Fico stated they were devastated by the news, noting that Campbell helped expand their international business.

He started working at Fico in 2014. They will miss his humour and kindness. Fico sends thoughts to his family and friends. The Foreign Office is helping the British man’s family and are talking to the local authorities.
