Ann Connor is leaving NDAS. She was their finance, funding, and planning lead.

Ann started as a volunteer back in January 2005. From 2009 to 2011, she worked as a trustee. Then, in 2011, she began her finance role.

The charity helps people affected by abuse. They teach about healthy relationships and also discuss consent in the community. This includes work with young people.

Ann said she is sad to leave the charity. She looks forward to new roles, which will still be in the charity sector.

NDAS has grown a lot since she began. It initially only helped people in Tynedale. Now, they support people anywhere in Northumberland.

They want to raise awareness about abuse, with the goal of challenging abusive actions and stopping the stigma around violence. NDAS aims to shift norms about abuse. NDAS support really helps people, and she said she will always support them.

She also said working there was fantastic. She liked working with the CEOs and thinks the team is great at their jobs too. Ann said she will miss being part of NDAS, as the organization does important work.

Sharon Brown is NDAS’s chief executive. Sharon said Ann helped a lot. She raised millions of pounds for twenty years, which helped NDAS grow to support many people. Sharon said Ann will be missed.

NDAS offers free, private support across Northumberland. They help abuse victims and survivors. Support is available, no matter when the abuse happened. They teach children and teens about abuse, working in schools and youth groups as well.
