The Corsehill playpark is set to proceed after receiving additional funding. This will positively affect Kilwinning residents.

The group’s committee plans new local programs now. They believe play areas help kids and parks improve their social skills. Kids have a right to enjoy playing, they say.
The council agreed on February 18 to help fund the project. They gave the park project £25,000 more. Previously, the council gave a £50,000 grant.
The Parent Council first applied for the funding, but now, the community association leads the project. Costs increased, so they needed more money. The extra funds let the project move forward well.
The group is working with partners on park plans. The playpark needs to include all children. The design will ensure everyone can use it.
The council will maintain the playpark. Neighborhood Services will handle upkeep. This begins after the playpark’s completion.
