Residents oppose a 150-home plan near Chipperfield Road, citing traffic, environment, and strained infrastructure.

Silversaw, Hill Group, and JTP are working together. The location is 9.6 hectares. It’s near Kings Langley School and the A41.
The council’s website shows 79 objections to the plan. Kings Langley Parish Council objects strongly, and Natural England also submitted an objection.
The parish council opposes the plan completely. The ambulance service worries about traffic and has expressed significant concerns.
One resident is worried the council is even considering it and wants to protect the green belt land. This person says wildlife needs protection. Another person says traffic and safety will worsen, citing the environment and village character impacts, and believes local infrastructure will struggle.
Nearby schools will face more pressure. Public services will also be strained, but the project team thinks it will help the community.
They say Dacorum lacks available housing and a planning inspector called it “chronic.” Only two years of supply remains.
Hill Ltd and Silversaw Ltd plan high-quality homes. Their statement claims designs will be sensitive; the developers assert 35% of homes will be “affordable,” and they will add new cycling paths and play areas.
Building on green belt land requires “very special circumstances.” This must override the land’s protected status.
People can view and comment on the plan using reference 25/00143/MOA until February 18.
