Volunteers needed! Join Friends of The Walks for activity mornings improving King’s Lynn’s beloved park.

On February 28 and March 7, they will work with the council. They plan to spread bark mulch near trees on Fridays. Rick Morrish says mulch improves soil.
It also helps trees stay hydrated. Mowing will be easier, too. The Walks has many trees. Mulch helps young trees thrive. It also keeps older trees healthy.
The group wants more volunteers. They want to aid the council regularly. They will work on projects that help the park. The activity mornings last two hours.
They start at the café at 10:30 AM. Future plans include wildflower experiments. These tests may improve biodiversity. They may enhance the park’s beauty.
Deborah Heneghan is happy the group is back. They can assist the council’s park team. Community help is vital. It aids the park’s management plan. This support helps maintain Green Flag status.
