The Kingsclere Community Larder will close soon. It’s scheduled to shut down at February’s end. They cited fewer donations recently and saw a drop in volunteers and customers.

The larder helped locals needing food. It offered basic groceries for three years and worked within St Mary’s Church. Their last session happens on February 27th and will occur in the afternoon.

Organizers posted news on social media. Customer numbers decreased significantly over the last half-year. They also got less food and money, and volunteer numbers went down.

They regret needing to close the larder in late February 2025. They felt privileged to support many people, providing food and household items.

They wish their customers well and got to know many of them well. Leftover stock will go to charities, specifically local food banks.

They thanked everyone who supported them; people helped in many different ways. They emphasized they relied on that support and couldn’t have done it alone.
