Lambeth council lauded for its focus on fairness and climate action after a review by the Local Government Association.

The Local Government Association did this review. They found strong leaders at Lambeth council, and that the council focuses on fairness, as their plan shows. The LGA visited Lambeth in November. The council’s leaders discussed the results recently.
The team said the council leads well on climate change, and that Lambeth works to handle money problems. Still, the team thinks they can boost finances more.
These reviews help councils improve, and they are optional. Stephen Evans and Shantanu Rajawat were on Lambeth’s review team.
Council Leader Claire Holland thanked the review team, saying the feedback offers a new view. The council will use it to help residents.
Lambeth made a plan to address the team’s advice. The review team will return in autumn to check on progress.
