Shane Hodson, 45, died January 7, 2025. His funeral is February 24 at Pleasington Crematorium. It begins at 8 AM. Barbara Ball, 77, died December 31, 2024. Her funeral is also February 24 at Pleasington Crematorium at 8 AM.
Frances Maguire, 67, of Whittle-le-Woods and Rishton, died January 28, 2025. She died at Royal Blackburn Hospital. Her partner Stephen was with her. Dorothy Wicker, 92, died peacefully February 3, 2025. She was at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Stella Pearson, 98, of Blackburn, died February 4, 2025. She was George’s wife, Allan’s mother, and Angela’s late mother. She was Jane’s mother-in-law, and grandma to Ben, Emily, and Sam. Isabel and Edison were her great-grandchildren. Joan was her dear sister.
Christine Schofield, 74, died peacefully at home February 9, 2025. Allan Joseph Christie died peacefully January 29, 2025. He was Doreen’s husband, and Stephen and Deborah’s father. Samantha and Alesha were his granddaughters. Evie was his great-granddaughter.
Norman Turner, 86, passed away January 23, 2025. He was Christine’s husband. He was Elaine’s dad and Sijbrand’s father-in-law. Joyce Johnson died January 30, 2025 at 3:55 PM.
Jean Smith, 92, of Blackburn, died February 4, 2025. She was at East Lancashire Hospice. George Buchanan Smith was her late husband. Alison, Julie, and Iain were her children. Frank Strahan, 96, died peacefully January 31, 2025. He was at Royal Blackburn Hospital. Thomas and May were his parents. He was a brother and uncle.
Muriel Scholey, 94, died January 29, 2025. She was at Hazeldene Care Home. Gerard was her late husband. Elaine, Ralph, Jeremy, and Graham were her children. James Whalley passed peacefully January 25, aged 82. His service will be February 17 at Pleasington Crematorium at 10 AM.
Peter Robinson Ireland, 89, of Whalley, died peacefully January 28, 2025.
