A Land Rover owner is in distress after an £800 repair bill. He believes the garage caused the new faults.

He returned weeks later and faced a large bill. The bill was for £800, he claims, for fixing new problems. Krishan picked up his car after a week.
The steering still seemed broken to him, and new warning lights flashed on the dashboard. These lights were not there before. He got advice and thought it was a sensor problem, possibly caused when they changed the steering.
He took the car back on February 18, wanting them to fix the new faults. Plus, the steering was not working correctly. Krishan felt shocked and called the garage’s response a complete denial, blaming a sensor and software issue.
He said they did not charge for the steering fix at first. Now, they wanted £800 for faults they allegedly made, blaming it on timing. He owned the car for one year. A report from the steering incident in January showed no warning lights before the garage visit.
Krishan refused to pay the bill and the garage charged him extra–£50 for each day the car stayed there. Krishan said he felt mentally stressed, and this car issue made it worse and even made him feel sick.
He spoke to the manager, feeling they denied clear evidence; If the fault existed early, it would have shown up earlier. He is a father of three and wanted free repairs and compensation since he felt the garage caused him stress.
He picked up his car on February 20, telling the director he “broke the car.” He left without paying, planning to find a new garage. Krishan said his wife needed the car.
She works in Devizes and her work starts early, requiring a running vehicle. He said the garage said nothing as he left. The faults remained unfixed, including the steering issue.
The Land Rover branch has not made any comments.
