Bramley Baths seeks final community support to protect its historic building. One week left to donate towards roof repairs.

A crowdfunder lets people buy shares in Bramley Baths. The pool is a special, listed building that sits on Broad Lane in Leeds. So far, 415 people own shares, but The Baths want more than 500 shareholders. Their goal is to raise £350,000 total.
Supporters have one week left to donate; they’ve already pledged over £225,000. A big roof repair is planned within five years.
The building opened in 1904. CEO David Wilford wants one final push for donations, reminding everyone that you have one week left.
David Wilford says it’s the last chance to invest, expressing thankfulness for the support. He urges people to help reach £350,000, noting that the pool is now partly community-owned.
Bramley Baths opened after a cholera outbreak and is the last of its kind in Leeds. The council wanted to close it in 2011, but a group took over in 2013. They have run it as a social enterprise ever since.
