Hey, guess what? Nithsdale leisure spots got super busy! Over half a million visits happened in just nine months. This was last year, from April to December.

People really enjoyed DG1, the Ice Bowl, and Hillview. Attendance numbers jumped up by over nine percent! The area committee got a detailed report this week. These places saw more visitors than the year before. More folks signed up for health memberships.

Things are returning to normal after COVID. Also, more people booked birthday parties there. Sports halls and meeting rooms saw more use too. Coaching programs helped boost attendance, especially in gymnastics. Ice sports also brought more people.

DG1 had over 311,000 visits. The Ice Bowl saw about 200,000 people. Hillview had almost 20,000 visits. Pool visits also increased. It seems folks really like swimming. Pool attendance increased by over fifteen percent.

From April to December, pools saw 276,550 visits. Swim meets at DG1 helped. Many schools also used the pools more. Even more people are swimming for health!

Also, the council gave away warm clothes to locals. They held six clothing events. These happened in November and December. Two events took place in Nithsdale. Over 900 clothing items were given out.
