Lidl seeks a court order to remove caravans from its Hunton Bridge site. Concerns arose after caravans appeared last week.

People reported seeing caravans on the site last week. Photos show four caravans and other vehicles. The main building’s lights were on at night.
The landowner is seeking a court order to allow for an eviction notice. Civil enforcement agents could then issue it.
Three Rivers District Council knows about the caravans. They contacted Lidl because Lidl owns the site; police also know about the caravans.
World of Water was Hertfordshire’s largest pond supplier. They sold koi, ponds, and tropical aquariums.
Lidl submitted plans for a supermarket in 2022. The store will be roughly the size of a hockey rink. Access concerns delayed the project.
The main worry was turning right across the A41, with planners fearing potential accidents. They agreed on a new road design.
The access road will widen to at least 7.3 meters. They’ll move a crossing for a right-turn lane. The store will have 98 parking spaces.
Solar panels are planned for the roof. Woodland planting will screen the store. Lidl hasn’t said when demolition will begin.
