LIFT seeks £25,000 to keep the Muirhouse Millennium Centre open. The center provides crucial support for the community.

They must raise £25,000 this year to cover their bills until next summer. LIFT hopes for long-term funds then.
LIFT has aided people for seven years, offering a safe, friendly space where people can get warm, eat, and find support and community. It also provides flexible childcare, which is crucial in a poor area.
They also run a Baby Bank, and people share food on a special shelf. LIFT helps people seeking jobs, and they offer vouchers for food and fuel.
LIFT is talking to the council now, but new funds are not guaranteed yet. The center may have to close, which puts them at risk.
The building needs some repairs to keep it safe for years. LIFT wants more than money; they need materials and help, and people can volunteer time too.
Pauline Nicol-Bowie runs the center and founded LIFT. She received an MBE award earlier this year, recognizing her community work.
The center’s address is 7 Muirhouse Medway, EH4 4RW.
