Lilyroos Glamping extends its season to host winter events, now open 11 months, benefiting from council approval near Deal.

The council approved the longer season, allowing campers to stay from February to October. In winter, the public can use the bar and dining facilities, and yoga and walking tours may also take place. Some neighbors are worried about increased noise, finding the eleven-month period daunting. However, the owners say they respect the neighbors, monitoring noise and stopping music at 10 PM.
The owners also mentioned that worsening weather and bills made things more difficult. Their old license created additional challenges. Now, the site can host events in winter for up to 100 people. This allows them to use space during bad weather and helps them keep things running. Bad weather shortened last year’s season, forcing them to lay off staff.
The owners stated that bills rose throughout the year, including insurance and rates. Lilyroos now wants to open to more groups, planning to welcome walkers and yoga enthusiasts. Some neighbors reported that noise has changed things with traffic and music bothering them. However, the council also received comments that backed Lilyroos, with people praising this growing local business.
The owners are hopeful about the future and aim to make the business successful. While they didn’t initially question the old license, they were busy after the lockdown ended. The last few years have been tough, and they barely survived. The extended season now gives them hope.
