Mohammed Abdul Bakye led a London drug gang and lived on Bombay Street in Bermondsey. A court found him guilty of conspiring to supply drugs and possessing a prohibited firearm.

Bakye received a 15-year prison sentence and a crime prevention order, which places rules on him even after his release. His group sold drugs from May 2022 to August 2023, while also possessing an illegal firearm.

Bakye exploited kids and other vulnerable individuals to sell drugs. During a search on August 6, 2023, police discovered a safe and drug-related tools, including digital scales and packaging bags.

The safe contained crack, heroin, and MDMA, with a total value of £36,355. Officers also found a shotgun, ammunition, and a silencer inside the safe.

Police arrested Bakye in Dagenham. The City of London Police shut down this drug line, calling it one of the largest for crack and heroin. The Serious Organised Crime Team (SOCT) was responsible for stopping it.

Goulger Ahmed, 42 from Bow, received almost three years in prison for delivering crack and heroin. Nazimul Islam, 43 from Canary Wharf, was sentenced to four years in prison as well.

Naseem Ahmed, 22 from Shadwell, got five years and a month. Muhammed Ismail Ahmed, 24 from Dagenham, packaged and supplied drugs, meeting with Bakye. He received a prison sentence of six and a half years.

Molan Miah, 44 from Shadwell, helped run the operation and started the ‘Green Eyes’ drug line by setting up its phone number. His sentencing is scheduled for a later date.

Imran Ahmed, 22 from Canary Wharf, also awaits sentencing. He is tied to drug supply crimes and supervised some members of the drug ring, telling them what to do.
