A mother in east London murdered her two sons. Their father discovered the children in their bunk beds.

Selvin Thomas, their dad, found them. He went to pick them up for the weekend. He found them in their bunk beds. Alexander said they were asleep upstairs. She slammed the door on him. He forced his way inside.
Mr. Thomas found them dead in their beds. They felt cold. He screamed for Kara. He said she killed his children. Alexander claimed it was an accident. The court found her guilty of murder. It happened at Kingston Crown Court.
Mr. Thomas and Alexander had split up three months earlier. He was supposed to get the boys. He worried when he heard nothing. He demanded she open the door. He saw toys blocking the door.
He ran to his sons’ room. He found their bodies on the lower bunk. They looked like they were sleeping. The duvet covered their shoulders. Only their faces showed. Marley’s face felt freezing and hard. He knew they were dead a while.
Police arrested her an hour later. She said she left them in the bath. She claimed she smoked cannabis then. They died from drowning or suffocation. Doctors found cannabis in their blood.
Marley and Elijah lived in Hackney before with Alexander and Mr. Thomas. Then she moved to Dagenham. She took the boys with her.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller spoke. He led the investigation. He said it was a horrific experience. No parent should endure such pain.
