Love the Arbo scales back event. No street entertainment or live music. February 15 and 16, light up your homes!

The Love the Arbo team posted a message online, asking people to still decorate with lights. Hearts could serve as a good theme, and simple ideas include paper, fabric, or tissue paper. Old Christmas lights also work well. No street entertainment or church band will happen.
Love the Arbo began in February 2019 when the Arboretum community decorated windows. They used various themes for inspiration, and residents lit their displays for others.
Past events offered free workshops, helping residents design displays. People of all ages participated in the event. It aimed to bring joy during dark months as the event grew to include bigger displays, and street performers and music became part of it.
Organizers hope to return to the larger event next year. Past themes included animals and James Bond. Night sky pictures also appeared. This year, organizers suggested using hearts, as the displays mark Valentine’s Day which was Friday, February 14.
