Reducing the Exploitation of Children, including Sexual Exploitation
Purpose of the Sub Group
To develop and deliver a coordinated partnership approach and response to Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) in Liverpool.
The group meets as required to fulfil objectives and provides quarterly monitoring reports to the LSCB Strategic Board.
The CSE / Missing Sub Group Terms of Reference are to:
Provide strategic oversight, scrutiny and direction on how safeguarding is addressed relative to child sexual exploitation and children and young people missing from home.
Lead, monitor and inform the LSCB partnership response to CSE through the collation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data identifying themes, trends and emergent patterns of concern.
Develop a clear understanding of the prevalence of CSE throughout Liverpool ensuring that information and data gathered supports response activity including; disruption, learning and service development.
Incorporate national and local learning in the development of LSCB partnership activity.
Establish, develop and maintain partnership policies, procedures and guidance in response to CSE.
Ensure sub group objectives and action plans are managed in line with statutory requirements and any agreed regional / sub-regional CSE strategies and protocols.
Ensure local projects, communities and young people are consulted with to identify areas of concern, gaps in service provision and inform action planning.
- Implement all statutory procedures relating to CSE.
