Darts sensation Luke Littler to be honored by Warrington council. He is also to be at the Warrington Wolves game.

The council wants to make Luke an honorary citizen because they recognize what he brings to the town. He’s also going to be at the Warrington Wolves game, and the stadium will be named after him. This recognition is for the first home game of the 2025 season.
Luke’s achievements are pretty amazing. He’s the youngest darts world champion ever at 17 and has won 11 major Professional Darts Corporation titles. He also holds Premier League, Grand Slam, and Word Series titles.
Luke was born in Warrington and moved back there when he was six. He started darts very young, first picking up a dart at 18 months. At eight, he joined St Helens Youth Academy.
At 16, Luke reached the World Championship final. He also got into the 2024 Premier League. He won his first major title at the Premier League, becoming the youngest player to win a PDC Tournament.
In 2024, he won the World Series and Grand Slam of Darts. Both were wins on his very first try. In 2025, he beat a three-time champ, Michael van Gerwen, for the World Darts Championship.
He broke Van Gerwen’s record doing all of that and became the youngest world darts champion ever. Luke was named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year. His success created a surge in darts fans, and they even call it “Littlermania”!
Luke has helped raise over £1 million for charity. The charity is Prostate Cancer UK, a very important cause. He also supports the Motor Neurone Disease Association and wears their logo, showing his support. He went to Padgate Academy in Warrington and supports Manchester United and Warrington Wolves.
