A Lurgan man faced charges after running into traffic and then behaving disorderly at Craigavon Area Hospital.

Ryan Shortt, age 22, lives in Lurgan. He did some bad stuff that Sunday. The court hearing was at Craigavon. He admitted to his actions via video.
The charges included being drunk and behaving disorderly. He even assaulted a police officer. This all happened on February 16th.
Police got a call about a man near Drumbeg in Craigavon. People said he was running into traffic. It was around 3:30 PM.
Cops saw he seemed off-balance and his speech was slurred badly. There was also a white crust around his mouth. They thought he was on drugs or alcohol.
He got really angry with the police and began kicking and trying to bite them. He kicked one officer right in the groin. It really hurt, I bet.
They arrested him and took him to the hospital. He was still rude to them and swore at staff. So, he was not very pleasant company there.
After the doctors looked at him, they took him to jail. The lawyer admitted what he did wasn’t good. It was “unsavoury,” the lawyer said in court.
The judge saw a pattern and noted Shortt often ends up in jail. The judge gave him two months in prison. He also fined him £100 for everything.
