Eduardo Laur, 47, admits drink-driving after crashing his wife’s car in Lynn. He’s banned from driving and fined.

The prosecutor, Abdul Khan, spoke in court. The incident happened January 18 at 11:51 p.m. Laur crashed into a parked car outside his house.
The crash caused damage to the other car. He drove onto grass, then reversed and hit the parked car. The car owner talked to Laur, who at first denied causing the crash.
The police arrived and noticed alcohol on Laur’s breath. He took a breath test then, which showed 76mcg of alcohol. The legal limit is 35mcg. He apologized in a police interview and admitted drinking before driving.
His solicitor, Andrew Cogan, spoke for Laur. He said Laur moved his wife’s poorly parked car, but didn’t remember hitting the other car. It was on a public road, not a driveway.
The court banned Laur from driving for 18 months. They also fined Laur £120. He must pay a £48 victim surcharge, and court costs are £85.
