Major M25 closures in March and April near Guildford impact routes from North Devon to London and Gatwick Airport.

These closures occur in March and April near Guildford. This is part of a project to ease congestion and make Junction 10 safer. This project should take three years.
The M25 closes fully between Junction 10 (Wisley) and 11 (Woking) from March 7th at 9 PM, reopening March 10th at 6 AM. Plan for a second closure from March 21st to 24th, with the same times: 9 PM Friday to 6 AM Monday.
Expect more trouble April 11th to 14th when the A3 closes both ways between Junction 10 and the Cobham Roundabout/A245.
Heading east from North Devon? Expect delays, especially to Gatwick. Consider different routes if possible, although detours will exist and traffic will likely build on other roads.
The Junction 10 upgrade costs £317 million and sits just north of Guildford. Work should wrap up by summer 2025, with National Highways believing it will ease traffic and make journeys safer.
